Hello all again!
I am already slacking on this blog thing, I have missed a whole week. It just shows how busy busy busy we are!
Another great two weeks have gone by, with lots of lovely walks in challenging weather. We have heard from yet more new customers wishing to use us over the Christmas period, so if you think you'll need us it is better to call sooner rather than later, but we'll always do our best to fit you in.
Its now three days until the wedding, which is quite exciting! I never did find any doggy cake toppers, so we decided on having no cake topper at all, the cake is chocolate with roses on so looks fussy enough any how. All of our plans have come nicely together over the past few days so I am hoping for a smooth, if not nerve wracking day!
I think there is some sort of doggy bug going around lately, a few of our dogs have fallen ill with bag stomach or cold like symptoms, it looks like we're not the only ones who suffer through these cold winter months.
I know we have heard a lot about this winter being the worst for many many years but we will still be running as normal. Our family car is suitable for adverse weather and so reaching your pets won't be a problem, for those who are concerned they will be left alone for too long. If the weather is so bad that going out for a walk is impossible we'll stay in your house/garden and give them extra fuss and play inside. Our older dogs especially wont appreciate being dragged across slippery surfaces through a snow storm.
I can definitely feel the temperature dropping at the moment so we are piling on the layers each day!
I know as weather like this approaches there are likely to be some last minute cancellations. Up until now we have never charged for cancellations, however they are becoming quite frequent at the moment, which we know is of no fault to the owners and cannot be avoided, especially for our shift working clients! Our days are carefully planned to perfection a week in advance and cancellations on the day cause some (minor) issues. As a result, and very reluctantly, we will be charging £4.50 per cancellation given with less than 24 hours notice. It is not great to hear about fees but it helps us to keep running efficiently and so has become necessary.
Other than this I have no more news, apart from the fact that Saturday 30th November and Sunday 1st December we are not working whilst we get married! And its nearly Christmas...YAAAAYY! I love Christmas!!
